Supported Employment Services
This service is provided to people to prepare them for paid employment. Services include work experiences and other developmental work training activities available at 2 locations, Shenango Township and Neshannock Township.
Individuals learn by doing and the work experiences that are provided are the result of the community, business, and industry using Lark's workforce. Working in a variety of departments assists individuals in developing appropriate worker traits and assists in teaching an understanding of the work environment. These departments include:

Transitional Work Services supports individuals that are transitioning to integrated, competitive employment through work that occurs in community locations.
Lark provides opportunities for participants to work on a mobile work crew that provides janitorial services to local business and industry. Each crew is provided transportation and supervision.
Supported Employment Services consist of paid employment for persons who, because of their disabilities, need ongoing support to perform in a work setting. A wide variety of supports are available to individuals. These supports could include: resume writing, interview assistance, employer outreach, preparation for job tasks, assistance in learning new work assignments, and maintaining job skills.

The goal of this specialized service is to increase the functioning level of adults with autism so that a higher level of community integration and employment might occur. A program model is used which combines prevocational/life skills activities with community-based activities and employment opportunities.
