David Freshcorn

David Freshcorn joined Lark in 2006 as the Director of Production. David came with a strong background in manufacturing, having spent 15 years as a production supervisor in a desiccant company near Albuquerque, New Mexico. During his time there, David helped the company grow 35 times larger, resulting in several expansions and equipment automations. This background and experience has been instrumental in Lark’s move towards automation to allow our people to reach ever greater levels of productivity. David also built a strong foundation in Lean manufacturing during his time in the for-profit business world.

David is a strong proponent of Lean manufacturing, having incorporated a systematic method for waste minimization within our manufacturing systems without sacrificing our productivity. David teaches our individuals how to detect what adds value to the work they are doing by eliminating from the process everything that is not adding value. His approach helps to ensure a better product for the outsourcing companies we serve, as well as a better learning experience for the individuals who work in our social enterprises. Through David’s tutelage our individuals are prepared to work in all community integrated settings. Our in-house contracts are also growing so that we may meet the needs of the individuals we support in a social enterprise built on their “abilities” rather than disabilities.

David received his Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix in 1998.
